ODBC Administrator does not accept a new DSN

ODBC Administrator will not allow you to add a new DSN.


A glitch in an installer changes the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE.Microsoft>ODBC>ODBC.INI>ODBC Data Sources>Default to value Microsoft Access.

This should have <value not set> or the ODBC Administrator will not allow you to add a new DSN

You can use Run>Regedit to reset the value of this key by highlighting the Default key, right click and delete.
