ICISworkbook: Reserving seeds from the inventory

The succeeding steps will help you learn how to reserve seeds from the inventory using ICIS Workbook. From the previous exercise, you learned how to create and upload a germplasm list. You’ll be using that same workbook file to create a seed transaction.

1. Click  Inventory ► New Seed Transaction.

In the current list template containing the U03WSHB list, two new columns, such as SEED_AMOUNT and AMOUNT_UNIT, will be automatically added.

2. You can now start entering the needed information. In this case, enter the specified information shown in Table 1.

3. When each of the germplasm entries already has the given amount and unit, click Inventory ► Reserve Seeds to file the said request.

4. You will see a notification of the success of the operation.

5. Click [OK] and close the current list template. But do not close MS Excel for the next exercise.
