ICISworkbook: Creating a fieldbook for comparing the F4 plants' characteristics with their parents

The succeeding steps will teach you how to generate a Pedigree Nursery Fieldbook using U05WSF4 study, U06DSF5 list, and the F4 Template.

1. Click File ► Open and select the file "F4_template.xls" (from the directory ICIS5.5.2_Installer\ICIS\Document\TDM\II Users Manual and Training Material\C. Breeder's Training Course\ 08_Generating PN Fieldbook).

2. Click Add-ins ► Generate PN Fieldbook.

3. You will be asked to retrieve a study. Double click the “U05WSF4” study (Fig. 1).

4. The Retrieve List for PN Fieldbook window (Fig. 2) will appear.

a. You have to select "U06DSF5" from the list located on the upper left side.

b. Select "GID" for the GID field and "SEED SELECTION" for the No. of Plants.

c. Click [OK] to generate the fieldbook.
