GEMS Setup

Introduction

The Gene Management System (GEMS) stores and manages molecular information such as polymorphism detectors, molecular variants and protocols. Currently, ICIS only uses a CENTRAL GEMS database for storing molecular data. The central GEMS database contains positive IDs.

GEMS schema

GEMS database has been incorporated to ICIS schema since version 5.4. ICIS schema can be downloaded at cropforge.

GEMS INI ENTRY

The following INI entry is required for GEMS application.

DSN=CENTRAL_GEMS
UID=USER
PWD=PASSWORD
